Connecticut youngster, Felly, drops a mellow jam, encouraging folks that they Don’t Have To Be So Sad, and it brilliantly captures the winter mood – given the time of year.
The jazzy, soulful production is obviously handled by Felly, as he’s a beatmaker first, and then can spit some. And he’s seemingly more comfortable on the microphone, as his flow and bars are grounded and substantial.
Last thing – Felly’s previous video release, Heaven on Lock is precisely the kind of music that turns me off – all that turnt-up, braggadocios filler comes off like the rest of the sheep in this rap-game; instead of nurturing his real, artistic side.
