Best Mixtape of 2014

Chi-Town’s Mick Jenkins caught me by force when he dropped The Waters earlier this year, and even though there’s been quite a few dope projects like Mac Miller’s Faces, Your Old Droog’s Self Titled EP, SonReal’s One Long Day and so on, I’m compelled to hand Mick Jenkins the spot – there’s hunger, ingenuity, and authenticity in his music and that’s what makes it special.
