Trump to name Heather Nauert as next U.S. ambassador to the U.N.

Haley has held the post since the beginning of Trump's administration and said she would stay in the job through the end of the year.

Ms Nauert, whose nomination would require Senate confirmation, is a former Fox News Channel correspondent and anchor.

Following the resignation of U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, reports indicate that U.S. President Donald Trump will nominate State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert as her replacement. Chris Murphy (D-CT) bashed Nauert as lacking in expertise, believing her to be the wrong choice for President Donald Trump's administration.

Nauert would take up the US mantle at the United Nations including holding sanctions on North Korea and defending Israel. With a master's degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, she had come to Fox from ABC News, where she was a general assignment reporter.

But the line has since then been put out of service due to heightened tension over the North's nuclear development programme. Last month, a planned meeting between U.S.

Requests for comment to the state department and the White House were not immediately returned.

Two of Mr Trump's advisers have said he is weighing a number of other end-of-year staff changes, including replacing Chief of Staff, John Kelly.

Haley similarly had little foreign policy experience when appointed, although she had a national name as the governor of SC.

Ms Nauert, 48, was made state department spokeswoman in April 2017, her first government position.

The agreement keeps those tariffs at 10 percent for at least the next 90 days while the countries negotiate further. Neither country had mentioned auto tariffs in their official read-outs of the Trump-Xi meeting.

Shut out from the top by Tillerson and his inner circle, Nauert developed relationships with career diplomats. At the time, she described her time in the position as a "blessing", but offered no reason for leaving except a belief that government officials must know "when it's time to step aside".

While Nauert struggled during the tenure of former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson - so ostracized from his inner circle that she considered quitting - she could now bring to the United Nations close ties to the White House and a good working relationship with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Haley also quelled speculation about a potential 2020 bid for president.

Another interesting new feature of Snapdragon 855 is the Snapdragon Elite Gaming which in general, still being draped in mystery. What we do know is that the 855 will probably power the bulk of next year's high-end smartphones (because what else would?).
