Republican Sen. Mike Lee: ‘Next Congress’ Will Likely ‘Look Into’ Motive Behind Trump’s Decision-Making On Saudi Arabia

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Tunisia on Tuesday, and was received by President Beji Caid Essebsi. "Why identikit pictures? The Saudis know the names", he said.

"There's no way he could do that sort of trip right now", Hellyer said.

Travelling overseas for the first time since the killing, the crown prince is visiting allies in the Middle East before heading to a Group of 20 summit in Argentina this week, where he may face questions about the gruesome slaying.

During a meeting with President Vladimir Putin in Moscow in June, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said that Saudi Arabia wants to continue cooperation with Russian Federation in the oil sector, describing it as beneficial for the whole world.

"At the moment there is no reason not to meet with the Crown Prince".

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's renovation details at Frogmore Cottage
A source said Markle is "quite opinionated and Harry has got very dictatorial of late, which hasn't made things easy at times ". The former actress and Prince are set to move from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, next year.

Amid suspicions of the prince's involvement in Khashoggi's death, a Tunisian lawyer's group tried to seek a court order blocking his visit. His remains have yet to be found.

After initially saying he had left the consulate alive, the Saudi administration admitted weeks later that he was killed there.

Egypt and Saudi Arabia have bolstered ties since Sisi took power in 2013 after ousting President Mohamed Mursi of the Muslim Brotherhood, which both countries have banned and designated as a terrorist organization. It's unclear whether Tunisian authorities will take action on the complaints.

Trump's contention that "maybe he did, maybe he didn't" order the killing appears to have helped pave the way for the crown prince's return to global forums.

From Tunisia, Prince Mohammed is due to travel to the G20 summit in Argentina on Friday, where many world leaders are dreading the prospect of public meetings with the embattled heir to the throne.

Saudi Arabia has said the prince had no prior knowledge of the murder.

Turkey's foreign minister says he has listened to a "disgusting" tape that allegedly captures the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi by Saudi agents at the kingdom's consulate in Istanbul.

"We submitted this info to Argentine prosecutors with the hopes they will investigate MbS' complicity and responsibility for possible war crimes in Yemen, as well as the torture of civilians, including Jamal Khashoggi", said HRW's Middle East and North Africa director Sahara Leah Whiston.

"A decision by Argentine officials to move toward investigation would be a strong signal that even powerful officials like Mohammed bin Salman are not beyond the reach of the law", Roth said.
