iOS 12.1 to bring Group FaceTime, dual-SIM support

Apple has reportedly updated its "iPhone User Guide" for the upcoming release of iOS 12.1, indicating that the latest version of the mobile operating system (OS) will include Group FaceTime and dual-SIM support for its newly-launched iPhones.

Unsurprisingly, there is no official reason as to why users have embraced the latest update so quickly but it presumably has something to do with the performance improvements offered by the new release to devices dating back to 2013, as well as the new features that it brings. According to a report by 9to5Mac, quoting various telecom carriers have stated that they "are readying for an iOS 12.1 launch on October 30, coinciding with the rollout of eSIM support for iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR". With this feature, you can FaceTime with up to 32 people, and the person who's speaking will automatically be placed front and center. You can set the amount of time you and your kids can spend each day on specific apps.

iOS 12.1 will be available as an update later today.

Mookie Betts and JD Martinez also scored home runs as the Red Sox took the best-of-seven Major League Baseball final 4-1. Los Angeles lost Game 7 of the World Series a year ago to Houston, also at Dodger Stadium by the same 5-1 score.

iOS 12.1 is out and you can go ahead and download it right away. With the iOS 12.1 release, Apple will introduce 70 new emojis, including "new characters with red hair, gray hair and curly hair, a new emoji for bald people, more emotive smiley faces and additional emoji representing animals, sports and food". During a group call, Facetime will automatically detect the active participant and bring them to the forefront.

"FaceTime changed the way people communicate and share important moments, and now with Group FaceTime, it's easy to chat with more people than ever before - from 2 to 32 people".

First and foremost, iOS 12.1 will finally bring Group FaceTime to the iPhone.
