Pres. Trump Accuses Bruce, Nellie Ohr Of Colluding With Russia

He's been President Trump's latest target at the Justice Department and the subject of his angry tweets.

Justice Department official, Bruce G. Ohr, center, arrives for a closed hearing of the House Judiciary and House Oversight committees on Capitol Hill in Washington, Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018.

They're asking that Oversight Chairman Trey Gowdy of SC and Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte schedule a bipartisan meeting with the Justice Department to discuss the sensitivity of the documents, which they say contain details about a confidential human source.

In their letter, Cummings and Nadler, who are the ranking members of the Judiciary and Oversight and Government Reform committees, write that Republicans on their committees were reading from the documents during Ohr's interview and using them to create a "highly misleading narrative with factually inaccurate interpretation and conjecture". They met in the mid-2000s, people who know Ohr said, as both fought against the evolving threat of Russian organized crime for their respective countries.

In Gaza, the group Hamas also condemned the United States move as a "grave escalation against the Palestinian people". In her statement, Nauert said that the UNWRA's business model and fundamental practices were "unsustainable".

Another Republican point of protest is that Ohr's wife, Nellie Ohr, had worked as a subcontractor for Fusion.

Ohr, a 30-year Justice Department veteran, is being scrutinized for his meetings with Steele, the former British intelligence officer who compiled an infamous dossier on Trump and Russian Federation, and Glenn Simpson, the founder of Fusion GPS, the firm that hired Steele to do research on Trump.

The details of the exchange were confirmed to The Associated Press by multiple people. Ohr is a Department of Justice official who has been at the agency for nearly three decades.

"Ohr's wife was financially benefitted by Ohr, a DOJ official, advancing the Steele phony dossier".

For African American women in particular, she was a role model and a benchmark for success, feminism and empowerment. Franklin's open casket was placed at the front of the church as mourners streamed by in advance of the service.

Steele and Ohr, at the time of the election a senior official in the deputy attorney general's office, had first met a decade earlier and bonded over a shared interest in worldwide organized crime.

Trump and some of his supporters in Congress have also accused the FBI of launching the entire Russian Federation counterintelligence investigation based on the dossier. Steele also reportedly said that a Trump campaign aide had more contact with Russian officials than had been revealed.

Republicans say Ohr strayed beyond his chain of command by meeting with Steele, including after his termination as an Federal Bureau of Investigation source, and then feeding information to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

In the interview, Ohr acknowledged that he had not told superiors in his office, including Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, about his meetings with Steele because he considered the information inflammatory raw source material.

Trump Breaks Silence on McCain, Tweeting His ‘Deepest Sympathies and Respect’
Ben Cardin: " John McCain was an honorable public servant who sacrificed greatly to serve his country and the people of Arizona". A rare Republican critic of Trump, McCain accused the president of "naivete", "egotism" and of sympathizing with autocrats.

Ohr was told Sessions and Rosenstein did not want him in the post because it involved White House meetings, the sources told the AP.
