Following the publication of a scathing op-ed from an anonymous senior Trump administration official, The New York Times refused to disclose any identifiable information about its source.

Two senior White House aides told Axios that they agreed with the sentiments expressed by a senior administration official who described Trump in the Times op-ed as a morally unmoored president and described how staffers thwart his "more misguided impulses".
