SpaceX Japanese billionaire first tourist to fly to moon

Maezawa, 42, will take his trip round the moon in SpaceX's Big Falcon Rocket (BFR) spaceship and will be the first man to travel to earth's only natural satellite since the U.S. ended its Apollo missions in 1972.

"I would like to invite six to eight artists from around the world to join me on this mission to the Moon", Maezawa said at a SpaceX event.

The Big Falcon Rocket is scheduled to make the trip in 2023, Musk said on Monday at the company's headquarters near Los Angeles.

He wondered on stage what John Lennon, Coco Chanel, Michael Jackson or Andy Warhol would have created had they seen the Moon up close.

It's unknown how much Maezawa paid for the flight around the moon, but Elon Musk has revealed that it's quite the sum, which is helping with the ship, booster, and everything else to get ready for launch. Yusaku, however, declined to reveal the figures that he paid for the flight, but the trip will be free-of-cost for the artists that go with him. He drew attention previous year with the purchase of a Jean-Michel Basquiat painting for $110.5 million. "There are so many artists with us today that I wish could create awesome works of art for humankind, for children of the next generation".

Christine Blasey Ford statement on Brett Kavanaugh sexual assault hearing
Grassley has said that in the interest of making Ford comfortable, he'd be willing to let Ford testify in public or private. Ford contends that in the 1980s, Kavanaugh groped her, attempting to take off her clothes while Judge was present.

Musk said two people who know each other approached the company about a weeklong flight to the moon and back. "Yeah, maybe we will both be on it".

SpaceX founder Elon Musk says the BFR is still in development.

The latest blueprints mark the final major redesign of the rocket, whose development is expected to cost roughly $5 billion, according to Musk.

Interestingly, we're about to enter a roughly 10-month period that will mark the 50-year anniversary of not just the lunar landing, but a series of five Apollo launches in quick succession that led to the most famous, Apollo 13.

Its plan to fly tourists around the moon has also been delayed.

It means he now holds the record outright for most hat-tricks in the competition, one more than arch rival Cristiano Ronaldo . PSV were still in it and could have equalised when Hirving Lozano's finish was blocked, crucially, by Gerard Pique.

The Moon is about 385,000 km away from Earth and the last time an astronaut traveled there was in 1972 as part of the Apollo 17 mission. The outpost would serve as a stepping-off point for the lunar surface, Mars and points beyond. After launch, the BFR will make several course corrections and complete one loop around the moon before returning to Earth, where it will land upright, in a maneuver SpaceX has pioneered with its Falcon 9 rockets.

SpaceX already has a long list of firsts, with its sights ultimately set on Mars.

He's planning to take six to eight artists with him, and he won't be charging them for the ride.

Two high-level executives announced departures from Tesla, and the diver sued Musk on Monday.

SpaceX is on the verge of announcing the name of person who would be the first private passenger on a trip around the moon.
