The EPA under the Trump administration is proposing to give the coal industry a lifeline, rolling back the 2015 Clean Power Plan (CPP) put into place by President Barack Obama's administration.

The EPA will take public comments on the ACE rule for 60 days from when it's officially posted and hold a public hearing. A final EPA rule is expected later this year.

Horwath said that even Obama's Clean Power Plan was only a step in the right direction, adding that "to pull back even from this start is simply incomprehensible, given the climate crisis our country and the world face".

Clarification: This story has been clarified to reflect that Rocky Mountain Power would keep coal plants online longer if it fits into their long-term plans and state regulators permit it.

The president is due to trumpet the new plan as he rallies supporters Tuesday night in the coal-producing state of West Virginia.

Ankara: Shots fired at USA embassy in Turkey
Four or five gunshots were heard, it said, one hitting a window in a security cabin but causing no casualties. The attack took place at 5.30 a.m. local time when six shots were fired from a white vehicle at the U.S.

Acting EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler signed ACE into effect earlier this week and reported that the rule allows each state to make its own regulations regarding their emission standards for coal-fired plants.

The increase in pollutants is also expected to bring up to 96,000 new cases of exacerbated asthma by 2030, the EPA's figures show.

"This new rule recognizes that progress is ongoing, but we're not quite there yet", he said.

Rep. David McKinley, R-W.Va., the chairman of the Congressional Coal Caucus, said Trump is keeping his promise to "revitalize the coal industry". It says its Affordable Clean Energy rule "empowers states, promotes energy independence and facilitates economic growth and job creation".

In a press conference, Inslee said President Trump's proposal is a deadly coal plan that will expose Washingtonians to deadly air, and that the president has sold out children's health to the coal industry.

Statement from Richmond Raceway President Dennis Bickmeier on Elliott Sadler
He's now 28th in the standings and would need an improbable win over the next three races to make the 2018 playoffs. The sponsor has been with Sadler ever since he made the full-time move back to the Xfinity Series in 2011.

"Businesses need certainty to operate, so every time the administration changes the rules in the middle of the game, it's bad for business".

Company officials at Rocky Mountain Power were still reviewing the Affordable Clean Energy rule on Tuesday, spokesman Spencer Hall said.

Washington has joined with other states to mount court challenges to six other proposed changes by the EPA, over topics including new rules for methane, ozone and pesticides, Sherman said. It says the new plan would act legally and provide more flexibility to the states.

Scott Brooks, a spokesperson for the TVA, said the utility is confident in its abilities to meet any new requirements the EPA might recommend. We've seen how climate change is impacting Lake Erie, with algae blooms causing a water crisis for the communities that depend on it.

Announcing the regulation on Tuesday, Bill Wehrum, the EPA's assistant administrator for the office of air and radiation, told journalists that he had worked at the EPA under President George W. Bush when the agency tried to argue that it did not have the legal authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions.

New Gmail feature to allow users to send 'confidential' emails
Another minor downside might be if you don't check your email a lot, and then the message expires before you've seen it. Recipients may still be able to do things like take screenshots of emails or even using a camera to take a picture.

Trump has vowed to end what Republicans call a "war on coal" waged by Obama.
