The Brooklyn Nets have traded Jeremy Lin to the Atlanta Hawks. The deal will also trade future second-round draft picks.

After struggling to find a spot in the NBA, Lin landed with the New York Knicks and subsequently took the city by storm.

The move helps clear up the Nets' logjam at point guard and sends Lin to another team that is also pretty crowded at the position.

Israel to Russia: Assad's safe from us, but Iran must quit Syria
The military said it struck three Syrian posts "in response to the infiltration of the Syrian UAV", or unmanned aerial vehicle. Iran, the adviser said, would "not allow Syria to become an arena for the activities of terrorist groups".

Lin's time with the Nets was plagued by injury.

Lin became the first player in National Basketball Association history with at least 20 points and seven assists in each of his first five starts before undergoing left knee surgery in March to end his season.

Lin, who broke into the league with the 2010-11 Warriors where Schlenk was in Golden State's front office, suffered a season-ending ruptured patellar tendon in the Nets' opener past year. The Hawks then acquired the rights to high-scoring former Oklahoma star Trae Young in the draft.
