Although Uruguay's success has been built on defensive resilience encapsulated by captain Diego Godin, the combination of Suarez and Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani is one of the World Cup's most unsafe forward pairings in the competition.

"I think this Portugal team is ready for everything". None of their Group A opponents managed to find a way past a mean Uruguayan defense, though it is worth noting that - on paper at least - their qualification group was considerably easier than that of Portugal, who conceded three goals in their opening match with Iberian rivals Spain.

Ronaldo is known to get visibly frustrated when he fails to score or make an impact in the game while Suarez's antics are known to all.

Real Madrid forward Ronaldo has scored four of Portugal's five goals so far, while Barcelona star Suarez netted against Saudi Arabia and Russian Federation.

Brendon Hartley will start the race from last place after Toro Rosso had to change his Honda engine on Friday. A wheel then came off Sergio Perez's Force India auto at speed on the Mistral straight in the late afternoon.

"We are fully motivated and we have to be calm knowing that if it goes wrong then we have given everything".

Cristiano Ronaldo will be desperate to fire Portugal to glory once again - with a crunch clash against Uruguay in the World Cup Round of 16. Clearly, the momentum will be with the South American team and they will be a force to reckon with in the upcoming tie.

Uruguay's formidable defence have not let in a goal at all in 2018, while Suarez has recovered from a poor first outing in Russian Federation to score in wins over Saudi Arabia and the hosts. "We will have to work collectively in order to try and contain him or in order to try and limit the effect he can have".

This will be a busy evening for the referee, not least with Uruguay's Atletico Madrid centre-halves Diego Godin and Jose Jimenez up against Portugal's Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

Lakers pressured to add Leonard before LeBron decision
The only problem is that the initial conversations between the two teams did not go well, the network previously reported. According to reports, Leonard may not only have LA in mind as his next destination.

But Tabarez, in charge of his fourth World Cup campaign with Uruguay, insists it is pointless to deploy one man to stop Ronaldo.

"We'll be focused. But nine of those Portuguese players on that pitch are European Champions". - Penalty shootouts excluded, Portugal has lost only one of its last 17 games at major tournaments (W8 D8), a 4-0 defeat against Germany at Brazil 2014.

This will be the third encounter between Portugal and Uruguay and the first one in a World Cup. We've shown we have the chance to win and if we keep it up this way I think we'll be successful. I've told them they need to be calm.
