It had been a magical mystery tour as Paul McCartney led James Corden through his hometown of Liverpool during a "Carpool Karaoke " segment on CBS' "The Late Late Show".

"Your music is so full of positivity and joy and a message of love and togetherness", Corden tells McCartney along the way. I didn't see that one coming round the corner.

Calling on Paul, the chat show host quoted The Beatles', singing, "I need somebody, not just anybody. I'll never ever forget it. Take a breath and jump in", Corden tweeted on Thurs. But then, out of nowhere, Taylor Swift stood up and said: "I'll do a song!"

Why William and Kate Skipped the Royal Ascot
While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were present in the celebration, Prince William and Kate Middleton didn't attend the event. That's because the two have prior engagements: William on another royal duty, and Kate caring for little Prince Louis .

To wrap up their visit to the home, McCartney treated the very lucky homeowner to a special private performance of "When I'm Sixty-Four" on her piano. "It's weird how it can do that to you", McCartney said after they belted the 1970 ballad.

While in the house, McCartney showed Corden where he and John Lennon would rehearse and write, and recounted the moment he and Lennon finished writing "She Loves You".

The Beatle swapped seats with Corden as they harmonized their way through a catalog of his greatest hits, from "Baby You Can Drive My Car" to "Penny Lane" to "Let It Be" to "Blackbird", as well as his new song, "Come On to Me".

Canada votes to legalise cannabis for recreational use
It now makes Canada the second country to have a nationwide, legal marijuana market, after Uruguay. Canada has become the first industrialized country to legalize cannabis nationwide.

McCartney made it even more poignant when he told Corden: "He is". "And I remember them playing me that".

Eventually, they end up at a pub to give the locals "the surprise of their life", Corden said.

As their journey continued, McCartney shared the story behind the making of that tune and others, like the early hit "She Loves You"; gave Corden a tour of the home where he wrote numerous early Beatles tunes with John Lennon; and eventually surprised some unsuspecting pub customers with a live concert and emotional rendition of "Hey Jude".
