Jacinda Ardern was uncharacteristically lost for words for a brief moment today when asked what it was like to hold her new-born baby girl, Neve, for the first time.

Arden became New Zealand's first female leader to give birth while in power on Thursday.

PMO says it was a "hive of activity this morning" with Ardern being visited by her midwife, obstetrician and physio.

Ardern became New Zealand's youngest prime minister when she took office through a coalition deal a year ago after an inconclusive election, and now became the first woman in the country's history to give birth while in office. "We are really happy for her, it's awesome and so special", she said.

Neve is Ardern's first child and she weighed in at 3.31kg when she made her way into the world at 4.45pm on Thursday 21 June.

Colombia blanks Poland in must-win clash
Poland has now failed to keep a clean sheet in its last 10 World Cup matches, since beating Portugal 1-0 in 1986. The South Americans go into the final game knowing a win against Senegal will book them a place in the last 16.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has left hospital with her baby daughter, saying her newly expanded family is "sleep-deprived but super well".

"We've gone for simplicity, because Clarke with an "e" has caused all sorts of problems, and Jacinda with a "d", she said.

The name, which has Irish origins, is traditionally spelt Niamh and variously means "bright", "radiant" and "snow", Ms Ardern said. It's such a rare event, in fact, that the last time anyone can remember it happening anywhere was in 1990, when Pakistan's then PM Benazir Bhutto popped out a baby.

Ardern, who was elected leader of New Zealand's Labour Party in September 2017 before being elected prime minster, plans on taking six weeks of maternity leave.

"The baby was looking up at Jacinda and it looked like she was in awe of her and I couldn't get over how alert it was just after being born", she said.

Online Retailers Lose State Tax Subsidy
Tom Reed, R-N.Y., said he supported the ruling's creation of a level playing field between online sellers and physical retailers. She says prices may go up on her website, but it's important states see tax dollars for online purchases.

"We chose Neve because we just liked it, and when we met her she just looked like she suited the name", she said.

Tweeting her congratulations to Ardern and Gayford earlier in the week, former NZ Prime Minister Helen Clark said their parenting arrangements were gender-equality in action.

"Clark's been as much of a role model here as I am and that's been something that I've heard a lot of people talk about, too - and it's true".

"I'll be Prime Minister AND a mum, and Clarke will be "first man of fishing" and stay at home dad".

"I hope for little girls and boys there's a future where they can make choices about how they raise their family and what kind of career they have based on what they want".

Trump threatens China with new tariffs on $200 billion in goods
But the lopsided status of U.S. "We use American power, economic might and influence as a tool of economic policy", he said. The price the United States wants is not only to take advantage of China; even more so it wants to wreck China's economy.
