As Trump gets ready to sign an executive order to stop pulling migrant children from their parents at the US southern border, McEnany went after Democrats by saying they politicized the issue and don't care about Americans who get hurt by illegal immigration.

Lewandowski's remark drew intense outrage, including from former Fox News contributor Megyn Kelly. Far from addressing the concern, Lewandowsky replied with an inhumane "womp, womp".

Democratic strategist Zac Petkanas mentioned a story from a Mexican official who said one of those separated children was a 10-year-old girl with Down syndrome to Lewandowski, who responded with, "Womp womp".

Prince Harry's shock as jockey Frankie Dettori kisses Meghan Markle
And now it seems that all of her time with the royal family has really endeared her to her father-in-law, Prince Charles . Meghan Markle , 36, and Prince Harry , 33, appeared attached at the hip as they stayed close together the day.

So while Petkanas was wrong on the reason, there's no indication that Lewandowski knew that - either in the moment or in a subsequent appearance hours later. He went on to say, "There is a reason why faith groups, there is a reason why 12 Republican Senators sent a letter begging this administration to reverse this policy. Because when you cross the border illegally you have committed a crime and there is accountability for committing crimes and there should be".

Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski is surrounded by members of the media as he leaves a House committee meeting at the U.S. Capitol in March.

"The act of separating any child from his or her parent by force can be traumatizing, but even more so for a child who has Down syndrome", said Tamara Pursley, communications director for the National Down Syndrome Congress.

Wednesday morning, despite the video evidence, Lewandowski tweeted that reports he mocked the girl's plight was "fake news".

The agency said in a statement obtained by CNN that the girl was separated from her mother and detained in a Texas facility because her mother is a material witness in a human smuggling case.

The two then began speaking over each other. Moreover, neither the Obama administration nor the George W. Bush administration treated illegal immigrants as criminals and actually jailed them.
