The Israeli Army has faced criticism over using live fire against the protesters and in its defence, it said the action was being taken only when the protesters reached the limits.

Palestinians in Gaza held their sixth Friday protest as part of the Great March of Return, which began on March 30 with the commemoration of Palestinian Land Day.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces during demonstrations in Gaza reached 45 on Thursday.

Aser was shot east of Gaza City on April 27, health ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said. In central Gaza, dozens were gathered east of the Bureij refugee camp. Dozens of Palestinians have been killed and hundreds wounded by.

The AP - which is hardly a radical news gathering organization - does mention the flaming kites, but not until the 4th paragraph, and it does not dwell on them. The paper says the kites caused "heavy damage" over the past week on the Israeli side of the border, setting crops on fire, including destroying "nearly 400 acres of wheat".

"If no solution happens by May 15 we will continue the protests or we die", said Amarin, as another protester behind him brandished a yellow wire cutter.

We will remind that on April 27 during the clashes on the border between the Gaza strip and Israel, Israeli troops shot dead three Palestinians. Israel's government celebrated the U.S. decision, saying it recognized the "reality" that Jerusalem was the historic capital of the Jewish people.

The army explained that the drones were not designed for military operations.

Hedman assisted on the second Palat goal and a Steven Stamkos power play goal on an empty net in the final minute to clinch it. The Lightning forward elicited a clear sigh of relief as he finally got on the scoring sheet for the first time this series.

"This is a cynical act that harms the welfare of Gaza residents and the humanitarian efforts carried out by Israel and many other countries", the army said.

The Israeli military has come in for criticism from overseas over its use of live fire, with United Nations chief Antonio Guterres and the European Union calling for an independent investigation, rejected by Israel. The victims were present at Gaza-Israel border as part of a long-running protest.

Trump's moves angered Palestinian leaders, who have refused to talk to his administration, accusing it of pro-Israel bias.
