Neither player participated in the team's voluntary workouts last week. And based on his comments at a press conference for a Monster Energy motocross event on Saturday, he's prepared to sit out all of the Patriots' offseason activities until he gets it.

When Gronk was asked if he planned on attending offseason workouts Gronkowski said no because he had "dirt biking skills to work on".

When asked about his status with the Patriots, Gronk had little to say, "The status is doing really great". However, Gronkowski did not let his worthy opponent get the best of him, and continued to bust a move for the duration of the song.

After the Patriots' Super Bowl loss to the Eagles in February, Gronkowski remained noncommittal about his chances of returning to football.

Gronkowski is one of the most dominant tight ends of all time when healthy, but he has been hampered by injuries throughout his career.

Gronkowski doesn't seem bothered by missing out on a $250,000 workout bonus in his contract, noting that he's now busy working on his dirt-biking skills. "Not too much. I'm not hitting the jumps".

Bad news for fans of Rob Gronkowski: Gronkowski, his namesake horse, will not be competing in the Kentucky Derby after all.

"But we'll see. I do think that these next few weeks and months are a critical time for him", he added.

Rob Gronkowski has always been the exception to the rule when it comes to The Patriot Way.

Instilled Regard, 21st on the Kentucky Derby leaderboard, will step in to the main body of the field due to Gronkowski's defection.
