"Today, Meek Mill, a son of Philadelphia, is a free man". While it's good that he isn't sitting in prison for four years for popping a wheelie on a motorcycle, he is not innocent and he should not be praised as a hero.

The star, whose actual identify is Robert Rihmeek Williams, spent 5 months in jail after being sentenced to serve two to 4 years in November for probation violations.

Meek Mill had been serving a 2-4 year sentence for violating his probation, leading to many in the local community to call for his release, arguing the punishment far outweighs his crime. During a hearing last Monday, prosecutors overseeing Mill's case recommended granting the rapper a new trial based on what they say is Graham's history of corruption.
