US President Donald Trump will make a long-awaited visit to Britain on 13 July, Downing Street announced on Thursday, his first since taking power in January previous year.

It has been widely reported that Mr Trump will meet the Queen when he comes to Britain, most likely at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle or Balmoral in Scotland.

The visit of Donald Trump to London is finally scheduled for July 13.

The visit triggered renewed fears of protests - one of the reasons Trump has delayed coming to Britain for so long according to USA and United Kingdom sources.

Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, responded to Thursday's formal announcement of the visit by saying that Mr Trump would "experience an open and diverse..."
