The incident took place at around 9:17 pm when a auto crashed into a weight-bearing pillar on the front portion of the hotel building.

A team of police and district officials were conducting rescue operation to find people trapped under the debris. The administration also deployed police personnel in large numbers to carry rescue operations.

The building of MS Hotel is situated in Chhoti Gwaltoli area, close to Sarvate Bus Stand. The incident claimed 10 lives.
