Military parade will be held on the instruction of President Donald Trump who had directed Pentagon to hold a large-scale military parade to contributions of veterans throughout the history of the USA military, starting from the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 to today.

The parade will be capped off by a "heavy air component", which may include older aircraft.

But he said there would be "wheeled vehicles only, no tanks" in order to protect the roads of Washington.

The idea for a parade appears to have been rekindled when the president visited Paris for Bastille Day in July and made no secret of his awe for the pomp and ceremony of the occasion.

Korea mulls entering new Pacific trade pact
Eleven Asia-Pacific countries have just signed the trade pact formerly known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership. He announced the plan for tariffs last week, rattling financial markets.

The procession - meant to be a fearsome display of American military might - will roll down Pennsylvania Avenue from the Capital to the White House, according to a memo obtained by CNN that was sent by the Pentagon to the the Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman, giving initial guidance for the parade.

The event "will focus on the contributions of our Veterans throughout the history of the U.S. Military, starting from the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 to today, with an emphasis on the price of freedom", according to the memo.

Northern Command, which oversees United States troops in North America, will execute the parade.

The parade route will stretch roughly one mile (1.6 kilometers) from the White House to the Capitol, where Trump will review his troops surrounded by veterans and Medal of Honor recipients.

Nunberg: Trump 'never did anything illegal or wrong around me'
Nunberg said he was afraid prosecutors would use overbroad statutes to punish someone who didn't deserve it. Prince denied the allegations, but now, it sounds like special counsel Robert Mueller has evidence.

"The marching orders were: I want a parade like the one in France", said a military official told The Washington Post on February 6.

"But the generals would love to do it, I can tell you, and so would I", Trump told Fox News last month.

Mr. Trump reportedly requested a military parade after witnessing last year's Bastille Day celebration in France, and the defense secretary acknowledged last month that the Pentagon had been "putting together some options".

The parade will also feature period uniforms from the Old Guard Fife and Drum, a unit that parades in period uniform.

"President Trump is incredibly supportive of America's great servicemembers who risk their lives every day to keep our country safe", White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said after news got out.
