A man holds a copy of the book "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" by Michael Wolff after buying it at a bookstore in Washington, D.C., on January 5.

Bannon's hiring of Burck was first reported by the Daily Beast.

So what's in the book?

The president said he had not given Wolff access to the White House nor spoken to him for the book. The debut for "Fire and Fury", with its stories of a chaotic White House, is approaching 400,000. Or at least what happens when reform conservatism goes on a date with populism, has five drinks too many, and makes some bad life choices.

Hansen later told the Post that he intends to reach out to Wolff at some point in the future.

Trump Administration Will Let States Require People To Work For Medicaid
The state estimates about one-fourth - or about 33,000 - of those referred to Gateway to Work will choose not to participate. State legislative efforts to try to enact Medicaid work requirements have been unable to gain traction.

In response Monday, a lawyer for Henry Holt & Company, which published the book, responded to Harder, saying there is "no reason to doubt.that Mr. Wolff's book is an accurate report on events of vital public importance" and that Harder's letter "provides no reason to change this conclusion". The book casts an extraordinary impact for the readers of American history - which paints Trump as mentally unstable and far out of his depth - includes extensive quotes from Bannon. But it is also true, as President Trump has said, that Bannon only became his presidential campaign manager after Trump had already defeated a large field of Republican candidates and clinched the party's nomination.

"I'm going to open up our libel laws so when they write purposely negative and frightful and false articles, we can sue them and win lots of money", he said on the campaign trail in February 2016.

Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci made several scathing remarks to a reporter from the New Yorker and failed to say the conversation was off the record. But then, how else does one write a book about President Trump?

"The fact that Sneaky Dianne Feinstein, who has on numerous occasions stated that collusion between Trump/Russia has not been found, would release testimony in such an underhanded and possibly illegal way, totally without authorisation, is a disgrace", Mr Trump tweeted.

"What would be gratifying to me is that if at this moment where we have an unstable, deranged demagogue operating the greatest army the world has ever seen, that more people read a book about the horrors of war and the awful effect on the civilian populations", Hansen said.

Packers won't play in London in 2018

Bannon issued an apology of sorts, telling Axios, "Donald Trump, both a patriot and a good man".

Stepping up his campaign, Trump has promised to hold "Fake News Awards" later this month.

Meanwhile, fellow journalists are questioning some inaccurate details in the book and Wolff's use of all-inclusive statements. "Voters can't say they weren't warned".

While this "fire and fury" technically does not have anything to do with Wolff's book, he sees a connection between the two titles.

Historian and author Randall Hansen is a lucky man: The title of one of his books is nearly exactly the same as another that recently became very, very well-known.
