“Lord please keep me Fiasco outta rest of these niggas lie” and “Dream so real niggas die taking one of my naps” raps Lupe, and then just goes CRAZY yelling, “pussy, pussy, pussy, nigga, nigga, nigga.” Lol! Satire at its absolute best, and Lu still spits like fire! Fervently anticipating “Tetsuo & Youth” which drops on January 20th, 2015, but until then, stay tuned for his slated mixtape “Lost In The Atlantic.“
Amidst all the ruckus of Logic’s first Def Jam album release today, it’s easy to overlook Jin’s first full-length album (XIV:LIX) drop as well, that too after 10 long years! The overall features and the album is solid; and although Jin’s message centers firmly on the word of God, don’t let that detract you from feeling the essence of this album, particularly if you’re not religious! This is one of the many gems on the project.
Was skeptical to say the least about a Compliment Rap Battle, but this was creative and funny as fuck! Props to King of The Dot for keepin things fresh and Rone def stole the show with his Niceness haha!
Logic’s “Under Pressure” drops tomorrow, and this has got to be the hardest hitting track in the entire album! The overall project is better than average, I’ll say that much. And last week’s “Buried Alive” release was buzzing in hip-hop and social media, and although it was well done, it was nowhere close to Logic’s lyrical calibre like I know it to be! Tears the fuckin mic when he spits – yup that’s the Logic we know from Tic Tac Toe.
“No Fakeness, only Realism here” raps Verb T, while he tries to stay true to himself and his raps!
Dunno why Sway gives too much daps to Grafh, he was very average and hella name-dropped – no substance in his raps lol. Aaron Cohen spits like he means business and should have closed this cypher in Round 2. On-Cue was tight, although his style was def out there :) Have a kick ass weekend y’all!
Throwback Thursday … If you’re fuckin with the UK independent hip-hop scene, you gotta bump Jam Baxter! I’ll be featuring his new shit when the album drops!
